| For the 11th year, friends of Wednesday’s Child gathered at one of the Boston area’s top restaurants—Il Capriccio in Waltham—and raised money to help special needs adoption. The dinner expenses again were covered by Joe Dempsey, Rick Curtin and John Collins. $80,000 was raised. Ann Finucane of Bank of America presented a check for $25,000. The evening was named in honor of the late Ed Fish, a long time supporter of Wednesday’s Child. His wife Gretchen Fish again was on hand and gave a check for $15,000. Chef Rich Barron again turned over the entire restaurant for the event, serving a special menu and a variety of his finest wines. People who attended paid $500 a person for the evening. Over the years, the Il Capriccio dinner has raised $820,000 for Wednesday’s Child.
