IL CAPRICCIO NIGHT A HUGE SUCCESS!

For the fifth year, on September 19th, friends of Wednesday's Child packed Il Capriccio in Waltham for a gourmet feast. Chef Richie Barren and Sommelier Jeannie Rogers pared perfect wines with a delicious special menu. People paid $500 a person to attend and there were some wonderful surprises!

First, right after Joe Dempsey introduced Jack, who gave an explanation about Wednesday's Child and the role of the Endowment, a person quietly called me over and said on the condition of anonymity he would match whatever amount we made that night.

Secondly, Bank of America gave us a check for $10,000.

And for the fifth year in a row, Joe, Rick Curtin and John Collins paid for the entire cost of the evening, thus ensuring that all money raised would go to finding adoptive homes for special needs children.

Thanks to all who attended. And proof again that good hearted people know how to have fun and at the same time remember what's really important in life: sharing and helping the less fortunate.
